I was invited to read from my book Sondheim & Wheeler’s Sweeney Todd at this semester’s faculty book reading and signing. We also heard a little of Mrs. Lovett & Sweeney’s duet “A Little Priest”, which I analyzed for its sexual and gustatory content to a crowd of squirming listeners. My colleague, director Chari Arespacochaga, graciously introduced me.
